What are the Key Challenges and Opportunities for UK-led Tech Transfer at LDCs

31st October 2024

This K4DD Rapid Evidence Review draws mostly on academic and some grey literature (largely from international development agencies).

While the information on technology transfer is widely available; most of the evidence is relevant to climate-related technology transfer and many relate to developing countries rather than only LDCs. Therefore, the challenges and opportunities outlined in this review are also mostly climate TT-related.

However, they can be useful and relevant to other thematic areas as well. Due to space and time limitations, we have taken Australia and Switzerland as developed country examples that have different initiatives for LDCs using technology transfer mechanisms.
