This K4DD Rapid Evidence Review explores the potential of tourism to protect nature or restore natural lands.

Sustainable tourism aims to conserve biodiversity, respect local cultural heritage and values, and to evenly distribute socioeconomic benefits from tourism revenues, for example, through providing stable employment for local people, through supportive infrastructure developments, such as for transportation and waste management, and provision of improved social and health services.
