This K4DD Rapid Evidence Review examines the export potential of services from South Africa to the UK and global markets.

Drawing on available academic literature and government trade statistics, the review identifies a relatively small evidence base, with just twelve relevant sources found. While these provide useful insights into the opportunities and barriers facing South African services exports, they also point to the need for further research.

In particular, there is limited evidence on the efforts of South African government and non-government actors to address barriers to services exports, and on what approaches may be most effective in supporting growth in this area.
