Policy Approaches Against Arbitrary Detention

This K4DD Rapid Evidence Review maps the approaches twelve countries take in relation to arbitrary detention of their citizens and hostage-taking by non-state actors in third countries, and summarises evidence on the successes and limitations of the approaches.

The countries examined are: Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, UK, and the US.
