Links Between Internal Displacement and Cross-Border Migration in Iraq

30th April 2024

This K4DD Rapid Evidence Review examines the theoretical and empirical links between internal displacement and cross-border migration in Iraq.

It analyses some of the drivers, triggers, and barriers that influence when and how internally displaced people might seek to cross borders as asylum seekers or irregular migrants. The report also summarises evidence on the potential movement of such people in Iraq.
