This K4DD Rapid Evidence Review examines the major lessons for national development bank (NDB) effectiveness in developing countries.

The review also investigates the objectives and key features of NDBs. The review focusses on how NDBs are funded, the products and services they offer and the role they play in developing countries. Lessons from case studies are used to highlight the challenges and successes of NDBs and how these challenges are mitigated.
