Kenya’s position within the Great Horn of East Africa region, coupled with its economic progress, have made it a destination, country of transit, and harbour for trafficking in the region.
While Kenya boasts a strong legal framework in line with international best practices, its implementation in practice leaves significant room for improvement, including in data collection and monitoring, protection, prevention, and combatting corruption.
