29th August 2025

This K4DD Rapid Evidence Review examines the main barriers to inclusive, sustainable economic growth in Sierra Leone, with a focus on key considerations such as political economy, governance, state capability, human capital, electricity supply, access to investment, and resilience.

It also investigates how these identified barriers can be overcome, drawing upon a mix of academic research and grey literature, primarily from multilateral and international institutions.
